  • never take a risk with any food left out....ESPECIALLY meat....the only food thats safe if left out is butter, wrapped processed cheese, uncut fruit and veggies

  • If your house stays cool, then yes, it should be fine.

  • I am sorry, but it should never be unrefrigerated for more than two hours maximum. It needs to be carefully wrapped and thrown out. any meat, but in particular hamburger because it has so many surfaces to grow germs. Throw it out and carefully wash your hands and the counter where it was sitting.

  • What would your grandmothers think??? Do you honestly believe there were refrigerators in the days your grandmothers/greatgrandmothers were growing up? Food was kept in the cellar, just a cool room and you ate prepared food until it was gone. THE HAMBURGER WAS COOKED< NOT RAW WHEN SHE LEFT IT OUT>

  • Our grandmother's didn't always have refrigerators, but people got sick a lot more, and died younger back then as well. Many people have food poisoning and think they've gotten a stomach bug of some kind....they never knew what they really had. Don't take a chance. Other posters are right. Food should be left out no more than 2 hours. For the cost of a little hamburger meat it's not worth the chance. And, if you had to pay medical bills, that meat would cost a lot more!!

  • I'd keep it. Just make sure you heat it up before eating it (that's a nobrainer anyways) Fridges weren't always around, now were they? :-)
