Does it really work to zap stale chips in the microwave to crisp them up?

Hubby bought some tasty gourmet chips and someone let them sit out, open. So, of course, now they're stale. If I do zap them, are they good to store again, or should I do it as they're being eaten?

  • You can also freeze chips that you won't eat for a while to keep them fresh.
