  • You could try giving them their own rooms decorated the way each one wants with the option to room together for now if that's what they want. They will want their own spaces in their own time.

  • I don't have twins, but if I did than it would depend on the situation. If they were same sex twins (boy/boy...girl/girl) than they would probably share a room until they moved out of the house. If they were boy/girl twins than I would probably separate them when they are around 6 or 7. They don't need to have their own rooms.

  • We have one set of twins (out of 17 kids). They will never have their own room. Well maybe when they move out.

  • I am a twin. I shared a room and a double bed with my twin sister. In 5th grade, a room was available so I got my own room but I ended up sleeping in my sleeping bag on the floor next to my sister's bed every night. I moved back into our room and got my own room again in 8th grade and it was better. I think it all depends on the kids. I would not separate twins right away.

  • Well thanks ladies! I guess I should have explained a little. We have two kids. Boy/girl twins. We are not planning on having more kids. We have three bedrooms and will have three in our new house also. So when we move we were thinking of trying it. They are only two. So we dont figure it will work. :) and that is ok. They love being together so they may not like it. So from the help you have given maybe we will try it and if it doesnt work we will just move them back in together. Thanks again!
