  • We usually go to another room if our four year old is around but not with our 17 month old. We have both discussed this intently and do not want to follow in our parents path. Some things children should not have to worry about.

  • we have fought in front of and away from our kids, more often infront. Our kids and now in their twenties (2) and teens. It's important for kids to know that parents can talk things through even in loud voices in the privacy of their own home. We don't drink and there's never been any hitting at all either. We've worked hard to keep our fights, disagreements at home and solve them before any outing too. Closed doors are just closed doors. Kids know fights whether they're just heard or seen. We thought it's more important for kids to know that fights, disagreements can be worked out. Of course violence, threats in fights should be dealt with by the police.
