  • You can love nature, conserve, recycle, and live a green life and NOT believe in climate change. I'm willing to wager I live a greener, cleaner life than most who believe in climate change. I know that is certainly true around my area.

Cap & trade is just a tax increase that will be hidden in our rising utility bills, as well the goods we buy. It won't make the world healthier or greener. Carbon credits are a laughable idea where the rich get to continue to pollute while the rest of us pay for it.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

How many times are you going to post climate change question.

We are not changing our minds....
Poll finds that a majority of Americans support climate change regulation.

and how many times are you going to refute scientific facts? for someone who has a science based education and medical experience, you're not all that smart. big difference between being book-smart and street/common sense smart!

  • I'm not sure who to believe myself. But how about if the people who say there is no climate change are wrong? Wouldn't it be better if we love and respect nature more? Maybe it's all a government hoax or something. But just in case there is climate change, and we can do something about it, we need to love and respect the planet Earth. Just because it is a beautiful place and we do have a choice.

you and a few others refuse to wake up. the polls are slipping as people who care to pay attention are realizing they are being scammed.

  • You know, I'm not so freaked out about climate change. Never have been actually. What worries me is pollution in general- and the attitude that many have that we can do whatever we want sans consequences.

Just like in the other thread- just because something is legal doesn't make it right! Corporations/governments/people that take advantage of the natural world should THINK before doing so. How careful are they really being? Who will this benefit? Is it their ethical ''right'' to take the natural resource they're taking to sell to people that may have just as much of a right to it as they do? Are they being responsible? Are they really using technology to it's greatest advantage?

Many of these questions go unanswered. We are people. We rule! That's ALL that matters, ya know...

  • LOL Grandmarga. I agree.

Anywho..Since when does a group of people taking a position represent the whole country? So you're telling me that the  Polish Academy of Sciences gave the official opinion of the Polish government on climate change? So I guess GreenPeace speaks for the US then?

Oh and a few Australian scientists couples with the Czech Pres, and 1 dude from Japan equates to the rest of the world? LMAO. You need to get a serious grip on reality chick.

There are skeptics all over the world, because there are lazy, habitual status quo upholders all OVER the world. What ARE you proving except that you are one of them? Nothing :) All your "evidence" is from known skeptics and deniers. FIND something unbiased. Then you might have a case, till then you just one of "them".

Srivero you just make me laugh. There are thousands of scientists who have come out. What does that mean "known skeptics and deniers" that is blatently STUPID. Of course they are "skeptics and deniers" That are REFUTING otherwise they would be the status quo. You GW freaks are flat earthers.
The number of skeptics, far from shrinking, is swelling. Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe now counts more than 700 scientists who disagree with the U.N. -- 13 times the number who authored the U.N.'s 2007 climate summary for policymakers.

  • Well, I don't know...but the polar caps are melting, ice shelves are breaking off and in a few decades, those of you who live along the eastern states' coastal area will be permanently flooded. Lotsa luck. They say cities such as Raleigh,NC will be ocean- front property. If that's not global warming.......just hope it can be reversed soon.

So true. This is not about helping the environment just a creative way to tax those who are not rich. Remember those of you who are home owners when you sell after Cap and Trade is passed your home will have to meet certain EPA standards if it does not when you sell you will have to make it that way. Could cost you thousands. New appliances, windows, heating unit, air conditioning unit, roof you name it and you may have to fix it to simply sell or your home will appraise at thousands less than it is worth. It will collapse the housing market more than when Democrats said Fannie and Freddie were sound and would do nothing to fix them three years ago.
