Cheapest place to get 3 ring binders?

I am helping this family that is in need of school supplies and I don't have much myself. I was wondering where the cheapest place to get 3 ring binders would be. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Dunkin Donuts has coupons for office depot: $10 off $30. I have learned to not buy cheap binders; my daughter will go through 3 or 4 cheap ones (with six subjects!) vs. 1 or 2 good ones.

  • I might try the dollar store first. I bought some 3 ring binders at walmart last year. My dd started highschool and she needed one for each subject. They were so expensive. About $3.50 a piece or so. WIthin 6 weeks they were broke, torn and falling apart, and I was furious. Shes not that hard on them either. My 5th graders did the same thing, so I decided that I was not putting a lot of money into binders anymore. Theyre all fairly cheap, quality wise, so I would see if I could find them at the dollar store. That way when you have to replace them in a couple of months, youre not out so much money. I remember when I was in school, we used to have Trapper Keepers. Those things lasted forever. My husband, who is 35, still has his from 6th grade. So cool.

  • Walmart. Don't buy them to cheap. They don't last that long. When I bought mine cheap ones they needed a new one within a few months. I know buy them 5-star and they last all year.
