Is it ok to put balmex on my 3 month olds neck?

The crease in her neck looks red and irritated.Probably from spit up/drool.

  • no i wouldn't do that, you have to try to keep under the neck Dry or it can cause an infection. Unless the skin is broken i would just leave it and just keep it dry.

  • You have to keep under the neck dry, or it can cause a yeast infection... I wouldn't put balmex on it. I'd just keep drying it off. Try a tighter bib that will soak up most of the drool...

  • my pediatrician said corn starch..but i left my sons nck and it went away on its own. its from drool, makes it moist and causes that, but it will go away if you keep it dry. give it a week.dont put anything else on it.
