7 month old having sleep problems

Hes been sleeping through the night since he was 3 months. Goes to bed every night between 8 and 8 30. Hes put down in his own room awake and goes to sleep on his own with no problem. 3 weeks ago he began waking evry night at 11 30 and would stay awake playn in bed half the night. If i would go in his room it would just upset him and take him that much longer to go back to sleep. this went on for a week. the for a whole week he slept good again. well the past 3 nights hes been waking again only now he crys till u go in his room. as soon as he sees me hes fine. but he want atke a bottle or anything. He will do this for most of the night. any ideas on whats going on?

  • hmm..my only idea is that he is treating 8- 8:30 as a nap maybe you are putting him to sleep to early try no nap after 6pm then put him to bed at 9:30 see if that helps..i know it will be hard to change his schedule but thats what it sounds like he is tired around 8-8:30 but only for a nap....How many naps does he take during the day and at what time?

  • read healthy sleep solutions by marc weissbluth. Seriously, I was in the EXACT same boat at 6 months and it changed our life in a week. The first 2 days were hard but now she sleeps from 6 pm to 7 am :-D good luck!
