What does having high levels of Estrogen mean?

I had some blood tests done recently and my estrogen level was 461 and the doctor said normal is less than 50. We discussed the possibilities of it being connected to an ovarian cyst I've had forever, but he didn't go into detail about if such high levels were bad or what to do about it.

I am not overweight I exercise regularly and I eat a pretty healthy diet... I am not sure why my levels would be so high or what that could mean.

  • The test was done during my period (day 3 I think). He said that it wasn't normal for that time. But didn't have time to go into it on the phone today :-/
