winter coats?

Moved to WAAAAY Northern Minnesota this Spring and am realizing the $15 coats at Walmart & Target aren't gonna cut it anymore. For those of u in very cold places, what brands do u favor? I am looking online and ebay for clearance off season but I need some ideas of brands that are truly, truly weather appropriate for 20 below days

  • I think Lands End tells wha temp the coats r good for. You can buy any level of warmth you need.

  • I second the vote for Lands End. They last forever and most pieces have a lifetime warranty. I strongly recommend a 2-piece (fleece lining that can also be worn on its own). The key to staying warm is to dress in layers. You will also need good boots; be sure to buy boots rated to at least 20 below 0
