Trying to figure out if my 14 month old daughter has a peanut allergy and what to do if she does.

Of course, I would keep peanuts out of her world, but what else? She had red spots around her mouth, but I don't think they were raised. She smelled like peanut butter. Her sister was eating a pb and j. Today she had one red spot (about the size of a dime) on her chin. Not sure what to think, I gave her a smidge of Benedryl. I'm not sure if it was some kind of reaction or just a mark. Advice, please!
