First Birthday Party Favors.

I would like to know what would be good party favors for the kids under two? I have the older kids done but I'm worried about under two. My sons theme is Mickey Mouse and I got Mickey and Minnie sippy cups but Im not sure what else.

  • Balls that are too big to fit in the kids' mouths are great for kids under two. Small stuffed toys would be ok. Mickey/Minnie hats with ears would be cute if you could find them. You can also go with bubbles or playdough or something that will take adult supervision. Aminal crackers or other baby safe snacks would good.

It's nice that you are thinking about this! My twins who are not yet two have been to several birthday parties for two year olds in the past year, and it appeared to me that most moms didn't worry about whether the favors were baby safe - I found hard candy, balloons, gum, tiny rings, etc. I just alwaysgo through the favor bags and let them have the parts that seem safe.

  • I loved the favors I made for my daughter's bday. Target dollar bins (or try 99 cent stores) - felt goody bags (were from easter so there were pink with bunnies and blue with duckies); small board book. From eBay- hi bounce glitter balls (sold in 12 or 24 for about $2 each) these were a huge hit! and Flashing Blinky ice cubes (teething ok!). Here are links for the eBay stuff:

For the goody bags I found a free gift tag template online and just had to cut, hole punch, write the name and tie them on. It was something like this: http://www.freeprintablegifttags.net/
