Weight gain, am I on track?

26 weeks pregnant

started at 140

i'm now 158

a lady asked me if i was due this month and now i'm paranoid that i got too fat.

  • thats not bad thats good i didnt start gainning i lost the first 12 weeks and i gained about 50lbs by the time i had my kids

  • 18 pounds is not bad, i had gained 17 at 31 weeks. if you are over weight before pregnacy then you ob usually will recommend a total weight gain of 25-30 pounds or depending on your weight it could be less. however if you were at a healthy weight before you got pregnate then you should probably gain 35-50 pounds during pregnacy it will all depend on you and how big the baby is.

  • 18 pounds isnt that bad having 14 weeks left. If you are not over or under weight when you got pregnant, they usually want you to gain anywhere from 30-40 pounds. I gained 38 with my daughter. It really doesnt matter if you gain more, it's just harder to get off afterwards.
