2 kids and ur taxes......

if you have two kids and make 20,000 to 30,000 gross a year about how much would you or did you get back in taxes? last year i got back 5,200 and that was just with one kid and earned income tax credit

  • last year my husband earned about $20,000 ( I have been unable to work due to a back injury) and between federal and state taxes, we got almost $7000 back.

  • im not sure i dont get any money back at all for having a child, for we make over 100k a year between us both

  • op here well me and my man arent married i usually claim the kid now its gonna be kids this year so last year i got back 5,200 and he got back 2,500 but this year he hasnt worked as much so he will also get the earned income credit so im hoping i get like 6,200 and he gets like 3,500 that would make me happy we really need the money i would try to streatch it out and by food and cloathing and keep are cars maintained......welll ill see hurry up tax time...lol

  • When I was single with two kids, grossing only about 12,000.00 per year, I was getting back around 5,500.00... and that was on top of me taking the earned income credit throughout the year. I was getting an additional 50.00 per week on my paycheck.

    I just have to ask, is that why so many women aren't getting married and just living together.. so they can get better tax returns.. because that's just really sad...

  • check on the IRS website...there should be a calculator for EIC on there. the past 2 years we've made too much money (only 44K) total for EIC but that's a different story thanks to being stationed somewhere else this year and i haven't found a job yet :( so we'll get alot more back. we got back 4200 this year but tht's because i had a newbie in 08
