  • They have input into what I make for dinner and can choose if I make several different things but otherwise they eat what I cook or go without.

  • Sometimes, we quite often ask them what they'd like for supper. We don't always have what they suggest, my 6 yo always wants tacos, and we don't want them everyday, but yeah, sometimes we have what they want.

  • Not dinner, they are free to choose, within certain boundries breakfast and lunch. Of course I'm not gonna make something I know my kids hate, that would just be fool hearty. We sit together and eat and talk as a family. I believe the family dinner table is important.

  • i'll let him choose if it's just me and him for dinner (some nights my husband works and doesnt get home til bedtime) So i'll ask him "Chicken nuggets or fish sticks?" Sometimes I'll ask him which veggie he wants "green beans or corn tonight?" so he gets some say in what I make some nights. Other nights I already have in mind what I want for our meal that night, so I don't offer a choice. But I think it's good for them to have some say sometimes.

  • Yes. They help plan the family meal. I do NOT allow each to pick what he wants unless we are at an actual restaurant however.

  • I let them have what they want on friday nights when I am not cooking, its sort of their reward for the week, fridays are my busy days and usually i dont have time to cook something so we just kind of do leftovers or pizza or what not and if we do leftovers I let them pick what they eat but the rest of the time you eat what i cook or do without!

  • I may ask what they want, but I only cook one meal. I'm not a short order cook. I may give each a turn at a choice, but we all eat the same thing.

  • Not really. On Fridays, it's Friday Family Fun Food night, so they have some leeway. Other times, they can pick between the vegetables.

  • Only if I can't decide what I'm feeling like....then I will throw out "Would you rather have A or B for dinner?" Of course with two teens, I am bound to have two different answers and end up picking
