diapering... anyone else ever do this or am I nutty?

My kids have been out of diapers for awhile now but I was telling 2 friends over brunch (1 pregnant and 1 with a newborn in the NICU coming home this week) a diapering tip... when the poop is very smeary and problematic and you're just blowing thru the wipes like crazy, use some baby oil (either gel kind or regular liquid) like grease... like makeup remover. It speeds the clean up/wiping process up like mad. One friend thought it was genius and the other thought it was nasty. I came up with the idea after lotioned diaper wipes came out... it seemed logical that a lube would help and damn it, it did.

  • I've never heard of that, but I guess it could work. I just use the diaper to wipe the biggest part of it off && then I only have to use 3-4 wipes.
