when i have a craving and instead of eating the food i chew a piece of fruity gum, is that better? will it help me? how do you stop from eating junk food when you have a craving?

  • As long as it is sugar-free gum. Keep things like these on hand too:

    * Sugar-free hard candy
    * Sugar-free Jell-O
    * Baby carrots
    * Green grapes
    * Small apples, like Galas

  • I did the gum chewing thing also, it seemed to work for me. But, I also ate healthy, so when I wanted junk food I could have a small amount. As long as I was eating good things and still staying active, I would absolutely let myself have things that I really wanted. I lost 110 lbs in a very short amount of time. Now I can eat more of the things I really like and I dont gain alot back.
