  • Slippery Elm tea is a good natural remedy.

Nothing will make the pain go away permanently...only time to heal will.

  • You can get Slippery Elm in lozenges, too. Go to a health food store for it.

  • Sniff warm salt water up your nostrils (non-iodized salt) and spit it out, then gargle with more salt water. Cleaning out your nasal passages and sinuses will sometimes get rid of the stuff that drips down and causes sore throat. I am using a netipot now - they come with the solution mix and are easy to use, you tilt your head sideways over the sink and pour the solution into the nostril so that it flows out of the other one. It does a very good job. You can buy them in a grocery store or pharmacy. Also drinking echinacea tea helps a sore throat. and mix a little lemon with honey and take that. Also, make sure your sore throat isn't caused by reflux.
