  • Be patient. Babies typically do this with dad. Means nothing so tell him not to waste energy being hurt by it.

By the time she's walking it'll be All Daddy All The Time and he'll be tearing his hair out to get a moment to himself.

  • both of you have to have patience. if he's nervous or worrying that she's gonna cry she'll be able to tell and start crying. (they smell fear like dogs do :) ). so he needs to relax when he's holding her. have him feed her (unless you breastfeed, maybe you could pump some bottles for him so he gets to do it). and when she starts to cry b/c daddy's holding her, don't rush over and take her, let him try to find his own way of calming her down. if nothing works, than have him sit on the floor and play with her a bit, talk to her, etc til she starts to get used to seeing his face alot then when he does go to hold her he can. as for others, that'll take time as well and if it bothers them oh well, the only one you should be concerned about right now is her and if she doesn't like them than don't make her stay with them.

  • May let other people talk to the baby while you hold her so she can associate you and them and feel maybe a little more comfortable. Or let other people, like the father feed her when she's really hungry or talk to her while you feed her and then maybe she will be more secure.
