  • My DD is only 4 so we are still wearing shorts underneath, LOL.

But when she gets a little older I will let her dress fashionably, but still modestly. It isn't that I think she will act like a little hoochie. It is to protect her from other people, who might not have the best intentions.

When I worked in the high schools I would see girls wearing short skirts all the time, trying to get positive attention from the boys. But the boys don't think "Wow, what a nice girl!" -- they would get out their camera phones and take up-skirt pictures. I think the young girls are still to naive and vulnerable. They may say "guys are dogs" but I don't really think they understand how dirty those dogs are, LOL ; )

You can be trendy, attractive and fashionable and still wear clothes that cover your privates and your boobies, LOL. I will get my dd braces, and I want people to appreciate her smile, not her booty.

    Get leggings!!!

  • I WILL BUY MINI SKIRTS FOR MY DD IF SHE WANTS THEM. SHE DON'T ACT ALL TRAMPY WHEN SHE WEARS THEM SHE WEARS THEM BECAUSE SHE LIKES THEM.

  • My daughter is 7, & I will buy her short skirts ONLY, if it's actually a "skort". If it has the lil shorts undernieth, i think it's fine. But i do not care at all for short skirts without the shorts undernieth. When she gets older, i hope she won't be trying to wear mini skirts to school. Too revealing! I have never been a big fan until now, my fiance LOVES my legs & says i should show them. So, i will wear a short skirt for him sometimes. But for kids & teens, i think it's asking for trouble.

  • I would buy the skorts. Most young girls today don't look like young girls. They develop sooner and wearing skimpy clothes for a teen sends the wrong message. I know some parents buy them for their daughter, I would not buy them for mine.

  • My 15 year old hates skirts so she doesn't want them anyway. If my 11 year old wants to wear one with leggings then that's fine, but I feel better if she wears something under them. The other two also wear them only with leggings.
