Is there anyway to make sure your child doesn't lose their natural creativity?

My DS loves to color, and sing, and dance. I don't want him to ever lose that!

  • IMO, your best chances of helping keep his creativity is by home schooling him. When he get's into school, they will spend his time teaching him to memorize a lot of useless information along with the useful. He will also be exposed to peer pressure and all it could take to crush his creativity is having a kid or multiple kids laugh at him.

  • give him every opportunity to shine at whatever he enjoys... video tape it .. let him watch himself ... let him explore "out of the box" ways to do the things likes, let him take dance, give him an art box with paints, material, leaves, dirt, sand..... creative things... enter them in some art shows..... have fun with him

  • just continue to encourage that.... and get him involved in activities where he can use his talents. (a dance class, or an art class)
