26 weeks and haven't had any braxton hicks?

Is that normal? What if my uterus doesn't tone up?

  • Is this your first pregnancy? My doctor told me when I started having them at 25 weeks that I was unusual bc you usually don't start having them in the first pregnancy until at least 31 weeks. As long as everything is ok and you are drinking plenty of water- enjoy it! They sucked for me :(

  • I never had any at all, throughout my entire pregnancy; at least I didn't feel any. Didn't seem to have trouble pushing my daughter out though :-p
Possible TMI: if you have an orgasm your uterus will contract; if you really feel the need to "tone it up." Lol.

  • I never had braxton hicks with my daughter. Hell I didn't even know I was in labor, but I went in to be induced and they said I was already having contractions.

  • Not everyone has them, and those that do, don't necessarily have them with every pregnancy. Your uterus will be fine if you don't have them. Your body will still know what to do.

  • I never felt a single contraction with my son until I was induced and I haven't felt any this time either (I'm 27 weeks). Everyone is different.
