My daughter is transitioning to one nap.

My daughter is 15 months old and rarely takes 2 naps anymore. We are having trouble finding the ideal time for her nap. What time do you put your little one down for his/her nap?

  • Well its hard to remember shes almost 3 now... but...
I remember she use to take her nap around 2pm or 3pm... But then we switched to an earlier time & now for the longest she takes her nap between 12 & 1...

  • my son stopped on his own taking naps at 13 months. now at 21 months and even right away I went to noon. But he goes to bed at 7:30 and wakes at 6 so I have found that usually 5 to 6 hours after being up he's ready. and then he will take a 1-1/2 and only for dad a 2 hour nap

  • My son goes for his nap at 1pm. It's nice because it's in the middle of the day so he has the morning to play and the late afternoon and is still tired by a reasonable bedtime hour.

  • When does she wake up for the day? If she wakes up by 7am, I'd put her down by noon. If she wakes up at 8am, I'd put her down at 1pm.

  • When she transitioned to one nap at first it was earlier like 11 am. Now it's closer to 12 or 1.

Really, you can tell when your kid's getting cranky - THAT's when it's nap time.

  • She wakes up around 7am and goes to bed around 7 at night. The problem is that she really doesn't get cranky until she is overtired so I have a hard time reading her signs!
