Things have changed so much over the years, I can tell because the first three comments said no water. But,I always gave my babies and grand-babies water, I would sterilize the water and bottles, and give the baby 1-2 ounces, the water also helps dissolves the white coating that some babies get on their tongues before they get thrush.

Water gives seizures now, where do yal come up with this stuff, and please don't tell me you read this in a book, this is plain nonsense. So you telling me all my children and grand-kids had seizures. I said no they didn't. Please new mothers ask your mothers and grand-moms questions like this. Also, you don't have to buy special water for your baby either, just boil it first.
