What does a daily menu/feeding schedule look like for your 15 month old?

My first baby was still breastfeeding at 15 months and still preferred baby food. She ate some table food, but was still mostly getting filled up by baby food and breast milk.

My second baby is now 15 months. He kicked baby food to the curb months ago and a little before his first birthday he self weaned. He eats table food and drinks cow's milk, but since it's so different from what I went through with my first I want to make sure he's getting enough to eat. It just seems like eating tiny bits of food that he feeds himself all day wouldn't be enough.

Please give me a sample menu of what your 15 month old eats including amounts. Thanks.

  • My 15mo just weaned himself about a week ago. He only nursed once a day though. he eats almost everything i give him. Breakfast is hot cereal---Gerber or cream of wheat made with milk, then a snack at about 10am. yougurt or something like that. Then naptime. For lunch it is usually some kind of meat with fruit and veggies. sometimes mac and cheese. You can try those Gerber Graduates that come in a little boy by the baby food. They are about $2.00 a box. He has another snack at about 3pm. then dinner with meat, fruit and veggies. He loves fruit and veggies. He has 6 teeth going on 8 so he can eat just about any table food he can eat. He is also my 3rd son so i am more relaxed on what i give him than i was with my first 2 boys.LOL

  • my 14m old has been on this same diet since he was 8m he never took baby food and weened himself off the bottle.

    10 oz Milk as soon as he wakes up 8am

    B-fast (10am)
    Fruit (can of oranges, banana, fruit cup, strawberries, grapes, ect)
    Fruit and grain bar (cut up in squares) or jam sandwich on wheat bread
    handful of dry cereal.
    (2 graines) (1-2 fruits)

    lunch: (1pm)
    Veggies (canned green beans, carrots, peas)
    cubed cheese
    oyster crackers, or ritz
    sliced sandwich meat
    (1veg, 1 dairy, 1 protein, 1 grain)

    Snack (3pm)
    I alternate by day
    Cheese and crackers
    fruit and dry cereal.

    Dinner 6:30ish
    Fried eggs or beef raviolie or chicken salad shrimp, scallops (some meat item)
    Veggie fresh like steamed brocolie (what ever i made for dinner)
    wheat bread buttered

    10 oz whole milk sippy cup 8:30 off to bed

  • Thanks for the replies. Looks like my little guy is on the right track, but you ladies gave me a few meal ideas for variety. I didn't think about giving him yogurt because my 3 year old hates it. But, I could sure offer some to my 15 month old.
