How Much Formula?

I was exclusively breastfeeding, but I'm pregnant again and it's affected my milk supply and my son is still hungry after nursing and losing weight because of it. He's had a couple of bottles of formula now but I'm still trying to figure out what he needs. In most cases I'm trying to breastfeed first and then offering the bottle, usually about 4 oz. How much formula does a typical 6 month old take?

  • well, it depends my 6th month old took about 6 ounces every 3 or 4 hours. once you start feeding her just let her eat till shes done. she will tell you when shes hungry, be patient she will establish a pattern soon and then you will know exactly and feel in control again, its scary I know!
