Can being sick make you not have your period? I know I should know this.....

I have been really sick and I am on my period, only it is really light and spotty. I am pretty darn sure I am not pregnant. I am 40. Anyway, just want your thoughts.

  • I am not aware that it will cause you not to have your period, but it could quite possibly cause your cycle to be a bit different I suppose. Keep an eye on symptoms and call your doctor if you think you need to. Follow your instincts.

  • Yes, I have heard of this happening. Sometimes it can make it lighter or heavier too.
