What does a 2 yr old drink?

My Son is 2 and will only drink milk and juice.. he hates water.. i have been buying flavored water to get him to drink it, but he still will only drink about a half a cup a day of that.. Is too much milk and juice bad for him?

  • Be careful with the capri sun roaring waters, they have artificial sweeteners in them which should not be given to children. You can dilute 100% juice by 50% with water and he will get more that way. Start slowly by just adding in a little water and a little less juice each time til its down to about 50% water 50% juice.

  • Mine drank alot of water. Too much milk and juice will fill them up and theyb won't eat good. Of coarse they need milk, with the juice just dilute it with water.

  • try the capri sun flavored waters. i tell my daughter they are juice, try putting ice in the water that makes it more fun for some reason (you can go w/juice ice, instead of making it w/water make w/juice so when it melts it flavors the water a bit), add some lemon juice to water. but my daughter didn't really like water and ask for it until she was about 3, the tricks above are what i used to get her to drink water.

  • you could try buying a "special" cup that they pick out themselves but designate it for water only. Aso the ice thing is a good idea ooooor you can try calling it H2O and see if you trick him into it lol gl

  • Mine went from breastmilk to water, with juice as an occasional treat.

Try putting a slice of fruit or vegetable in the water, or make icecubes with blueberry "eyeballs"
