  • he's probably scared or even hungry. It's perfectly normal.

  • It's the only way a baby can communicate.

He's either saying, "Hey, MOM...I'm awake...come get me!"

    Or "Hey, MOM...I'm NOW!"

    Or "Hey, MOM...I'm cold..."

    Or "Hey, MOM...I'm wet/dirty..."

Or "Hey, MOM...I'm lonely, where are YOU?"

Or "Hey, MOM...My ear (or legs, or back, or feet, etc.) are hurting!"

All the above sentences sound like WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH to you and me. He thinks you understand perfectly and may get angry if you don't fix it NOW! (earplugs cuts the sound a bit, if it's too loud for you to stand)

  • Um.. Most babies do as timelessglass said crying is a babies only form of communication. Very rarely are you going to find a small infant that wakes up and stays content for some time.
