Spam email generated from sites you have visited?
If someone is receiving 90% spam mail from dating sites is it logical to assume that person has used that email addy on a dating site? Even if after one has opted out of a few and the mail stops then begins again, is it safe to assume this is happening time and again due to having visited some site and having used the email addy? I know that some sites share info but why more of this spam versus any other type? Just looking for opinions and such.

  • i would assume its from visiting a porn or a dating type site, if a majority of the spam is from these types of sites than that is probably where it is coming from. my dh's spam is mostly porn and real estate type stuff b/c those are the sites he visits whereas mine is coupons, stores, and child type stuff b/c thats a majority of what i visit. i'll still get an occasional dating or porn spam but not much.
