I'm going shopping and need help on what table foods/finger foods to get my 11-month-old son? Any ideas??

He already has: Cheerios, graham crackers, mac & cheese, bananas, chicken, avocado, and peas.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! I'm trying to get him off jars of baby food!

  • My 15mo. son likes bananas, strawberries and those gerber fruit puffs. did you try those mini 'nilla waffers? I know that baby food gets to be expensive so im glad my DS is done with that!
I know they say hot dogs are a choking hazard, but i gave my boys hot dogs cut into quarters and they had no prob. with them.

  • I am sure you have seen the Gerber Graduates toddler meals. They are all microwavable-and healthy. They have so many to choose from! They can get costly, but Kroger carries the generic brand of those things now.

  • Little chopped up bits of pasta are extremely cheap and yummy =D Basically you can give him anything you eat, just chopped up to about the size of a pea.

  • Don't go with the graduates or stage 3, it's a waste of money. Just feed your child what you and hubby may eat.

  • My son loves kidney beans, sweet potato chunks, cut up fruit and cereal bars, crackers, dry cereals, and then just about anything else we are eating that we cut up.
We have also been having a hard time getting him to eat many vegetables so we just bought some foods from the vegetarian section... he loves meat (I call him a meat-atarian) so we got him some vege burgers and stuff like that and he loved it!

  • My Daughter's 14 months and loves bananas, blueberries and they're the perfect size, fruit cups, pasta, french fries, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, diced ham or turkey, cottage cheese, cubed cheese.....etc. We feed Ava anything we eat just in baby sizes and try and not salt or season her food as much as ours.

  • My daughter is 11 months old too and she eats pretty much everything we eat. She doesn't get special Gerber food anymore. It's a lot cheaper that way too. Go ahead and feed him whatever you eat yourself.

  • My 10-month old stopped wanting baby purees about a month ago. We give him almost everything we eat, just in smaller pieces. He's a big fan of tortellini, right now. He also likes most veggies and fruits. The only Gerber stuff I buy are the yogurt melts.
