Buget?

Here is a simple question about the US budget. Prior to Obama, the budget wasn't balanced, there was a huge deficit.

So why would Obama come into office and spend more money that we don't have, that will just add to that deficit and inevitably run this country into the ground. He is not helping the problem, he is adding to the problem. Any finacial expert would tell you that. You don't get into more debt to get out of it. You either find more income or cut back.

Without Obama spending any money at all, here in the future SS and Medicade from what I understand, will be adding to the deficit on it's own. If nothing was done to the budget. (I got this info, from a dl\ocumentary called I.O.U.S.A, it was more from a liberal point of view). Things need to change and they need to change now. Forget all the issues, what about the out of control spending in Washington. What are your thoughts.

  • It takes money to heal a broken economy. Whats the difference, Bush invaded Iraq for Oil and destroyed their country for OUR benefit. Obama is using the American Citizens to better this country, not a foreign country.

  • It takes money to fix problems (be it replacing bald tires on an old truck or remedying a limping and badly wounded economy). Obama is focusing on the US, not the world as King George tried to do.

  • Bush is not the cause of this, it started back with FDR! Do you spend money you don't have, to get out of debt anon? If it doesn't work for you, how do you expect it to work for the government. This is a serious issue, that can and will destroy our country, if it doesn't get into control and our current admin is destroy us, by it's spending.

  • Come on guys, are you serious, think of it logically, you are quoting rhetoric from the mainstream media. Let's seriously think about this. Take your own life for example, It may take money to fix problems, but the only way it will fix the problem is if you HAVE IT.   First thing you do is create a budget, then you cut out all luxeries,  you don't go spending money you don't have to fix those problems, IT WON"T WORK and you cut out the luxuries, until those problems are fixed.

  • Geeeee, You know that doesn't make sense does it? It's not hard to see but hard headed Libs will not admit it. Never will they admit it.
They will use any method they can to get their agenda put in place. If America was to hold at status quo for a year or 2 we would not cease to exist like the Dems want us to believe.
Their spending which will make an already large deficit into a enourmous deficit that will truly be hard to overcome in our lifetime. I have to think since very few of their programs including Cap and Tax and Healthcare will not be fully in effect until after the next election, they just don't care as long as they get their due for passing something people think will help.
If more people would just open their eyes and let go of the huge egos we could stop this and actually do what id good for all Americans

Yes, when I'm broke, my solution is to go spend more money. I always tell people who have lost their income, "go spend your way out of debt". Good, solid advice there, anon.

My personal request... please let Obama and Co know that you are willing to give YOUR money and MY share as well. I try to not make a habit of throwing good money after bad.

  • The ONLY application to the concept of "it takes money to make money" is as a BUSINESS model--you know where you have an idea/concept that you would like to SELL....you invest in that idea/concept, you market said ideas/concepts, and if you do things CORRECTLY, you will MAKE MONEY!!!

What is it that the government actually produces or sells in order to recoup their "investment?!"

See, THAT is where the liberal/Democratic logic falls apart.

The government is trying to "get rich" (balance the budget) from the people, who get nothing in return! NOT a very good business model!!

But then again, when you're Obama, and you haven't so much as operate a Lemonade Stand...how could you possibly expect to know anything about economics?! LOL
