  • deviled eggs are always good!...just boil eggs, cut them in half the long way...scoop out the yolk, put all the yolk in a bowl with some mayo, mustard, and relish and mix it...i kept one of my daughters baby spoons and i use that to spoon it back into each egg half..top each egg with a dash of paprika or pepper.....
another cheap snack is triscuit snacks...get some triscuits, bacon, and american cheese...line a cookie sheet with the triscuit snacks, put a piece of cheese, and a cut piece of raw bacon on top of every triscut, put it in the oven on broil...it takes only a few seconds!!! so keep an eye on it...SOOO TASTEY!!!!

  • Those little hotdogs in biscuits or crescent rolls are cheap and a hit. Chips. Celery sticks and baby carrots. Generic party nut mix. Maybe celery sticks stuffed with cream cheese or peanut butter? Cheese cubes.

  • Do a small veggie tray with only carrots and celery. Instead of having 2 sides, one for carrots and one for celery, mix the celery and carrots together, if you have any radishes on hand, slice a few very thinly and then chop into small bits. Sprinkle the radishes anddried parsley (but only a little) on top for some added color and serve with dip.

Store brand pretzels with mustard for dipping (or you could make some cheap honey mustard adding some mayo and honey).

Cake of course, and maybe some store brand ice cream?

  • You could also do fruit and cheese kabobs.

Also, a small bowl of mixed nuts. Chips and salsa too.

  • Also for the little ones you could get some animal crackers or graham crackers, which ever is cheaper and have a little strawberry yogurt for dipping...I think that's all I have now.

  • Hummus and veggies or pita bread, you can do bruchetta (homemade is yummy). You can do a tomato and mozzarella salad (tomato, mozzarella balls, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper). asparagus and avocado wraps, or any veggie wraps are good. Look at this website. It has really good appetizers (all vegetarian) http://whatscookingamerica.net/Vegetarian/VegetarianAppetizers.htm
