Big Christmas - every year. We don't buy our kids (or ourselves for that matter) much during the year. We love Christmas. We enjoy the decorating, the smells of baking, finding those special gifts, family, the ham, the turkey, just all of it. My husband and his mom started making homemade cakes together about 20 years ago. The layers were from scratch and the icing is basically fudge. It takes 3 hours to cook the fudge and then keep it beaten down so it will be icing. They made 2 cakes together every Christmas. She died in Jan. of this year. He is determined to make that cake this year because it would have made her happy. That is the thing about traditions. You HAVE to keep them going.
