does anyone else's 2 1/2 yr old know how to count?

my mom was counting pennies with my son(2 1/2 yrs) one day and she really only counted to 10 twice. then later that day i noticed my son counting the pennies by himself starting at 3 and stopping at 10. i was like omg did anyone else see that?!! haha. anyone else's toddler know how to count?

  • yep, my dd could count to 10 when she was a little over 2, in english, spanish & japanese :)

  • My son is barely two and he can count to three, sometimes five...

    He'll also say two, three in spanish. For some reason he just wn't say uno...

  • My son will be 2 in couple of weeks & can count to 18 and knows his ABC's this is on a daily basis whatever I'm doing I start singing the abc's & when we go down stairs we count & he picked up fast : )

  • My daughter can actually count to 3, but she can say all the numbers in order up to 12... but keeps going skipping a few until she gets to twenty. What I mean by that is that if she sees three or less objects, she numbers each one and actually is comprehending what she is counting. If she sees four or more objects, she just keeps going, LOL. She is two and a half.
