  • I drive a manual transmission. I like it when Im in a rush because I can go faster quicker but I like automatic when I just want a relaxing drive

  • I can drive either, I grew up on a farm, but my van is an automatic. Not a lot of minivans with a manual transmission.

  • I've only ever driven an automatic. I want to learn to drive a manual, though.

  • I prefered my manual once i learned how to drive one (scared me to learn haha). I drive an auto now and do miss the manual. Its so much more responsive.

  • I can drive both but I really prefer the manuals (and yea they do still make brand new cars/trucks with them for the anon that said that was for the ...'s).
With the manual I really love the way the vehicle feels when you're at the point of needing to shift, that vrrmmmmm thing just kinda feels good and then when you let the clutch up, I don't know, I just love the whole thing with manuals... nothing like zooming along shifting gears. I think I might be weird, but I loved it on motorcycles and even 10 speed bikes way back when.
Gas mileage is better on a standard, and they seem to last a lot longer too.
