Have you heard of the anti-cough and cold medicine called;Coricidin?

I know of a older woman in her 70's taking it, it says it's made for high blood pressure. She's skinny, why do older people have high blood pressure,is it because they're older?I had it because I was overweight and in my late 30's.My dad who was in his late 70's had high blood pressure and he was skinny. Is high blood pressure caused from being overweight or is it a disease?Well first I want to know about Coricidin, never heard of it,why doesn't she use nyquill?I'm trying to find out if my neighbor who we have just became friends has high blood pressure like me but I want to find out if she's or you take Coricidin for the fun of it,nothing to do with high blood pressure but the medicine is specifically made for that. Thanks

  • I don't take any meds for the fun of it but I do take Coricidin HBP when it's needed. I have HBP. C-HBP is decongestant -free so it's safe for us. I wouldn't take Nyquil on a bet. Skinny ppl have HBP. It's not about weight, it's about pressure of the blood flow.

  • there is a type of that med called Coracedin(spelling is wrong sorry) HP and it is a cold med made specifically for people with high blood pressure, thats why she takes it not nyquil.Taking it "for the fun of it" will kill you.
high blood pressure is hereditary and also caused by lifestyle factors. So if you are overweight it can contribute, or you can be skinny and if family history is full of it, you can still have it. hope that helped.

  • I know about Coricidin hp, is there another brand just called Coricidin for anybody to take but they stuff is made for high blood pressure. If she has hbp this is going to be great.I just met her and we have alot in common like going to the same church,I used to go to.She suffers from auditory processing disorder like me,which is rare I 've never met anyone with that problem so,when I talk to her today I will mention this to her but I don't want to sound too nosey,I'm just thrilled to have another thing in common with her!
