  • uhhh...who cares. It just means that they are a hard worker who gets some sun on thier neck. My man works in the construction industry so he is always outside or on a roof in the sun. He would be called a redneck but he is the sexiest man alive to me.

  • I don't mean HAVE a red neck. I mean like the trashy country bumpkin rednecks. Why would anyone be proud to be that?

  • Redneck as in having a red neck (from working in the sun)? Or redneck as in being a hick? Well, I'm a hick, and I'm offended at your question. :-P haha

  • Because they don't know any better. Most of us can think of a few redneck family members. Sad =(

  • I don't consider myself a "trashy, country, bumpkin, redneck"....however I am from the country, and have been here for many years. I live around cows and cornfields, soybeans and county fairs. I have been "barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen" a few times. We are beer drinking, bonfire burning, pick-up truck people. However! I graduated high school (Vice president of my senior class!), went on to get a Associates degree, and am a week away from my Bachelors degree in Health Administration, have a 2008 vehicle, and am looking into purchasing a new home. My husband is a hard working EMT on his feet 24 hour shift (very smart). SO- OP Big Blue "?", why don't you take your "civilized", judgemental questions like this and rethink how they are phrased before you offend someone. I take my cool, quiet evenings on the porch with the crickets over your car horn honking intersections anyday.

  • BabyBeans. If you don't consider yourself to be a redneck why do you feel the need to defend where you are from? And what does being barefoot in the kitchen have to do with being trashy? Lots of people walk around the house barefoot?

  • Sorry there are a few mistakes in my response, my mind is pretty full- as I am stressed with finals, 2 interviews tomorrow, and a meeting with the loan officer.
