does this seem dumb to anyone else?

so i rehomed my great lil dog to a family with older children , well they didn't have him for even 24 hrs when they called me to say they where bringing him back .. the reason.. my dog didn't bond 100% with their son within 24 hrs .. cause he didn't sleep in bed with their son on the first night... they were like we wanted one that would bond with our son, do they really think the dog would automatically be attached at the hip? anyone else think that is the lamest crock? oh and if i didn't take him back they were going to put him in a shelter for that lame reason! they said he was a great sweet dog but here is your shelter

  • Yeah, they sound pretty dumb ( not to mention mean...they'd actually take him to a pound over that???? ) omg these people shouldn't have kids even, let alone pets. what do they do when their kids don't bond? lol seriously do they hit them with a newspaper or make them sleep outside in a treehouse? wth...our dogs are difficult but they are still a part of our family.
the people who "took" your dog in....yeah that's pretty stupid and cruel.

  • obviously they have never had dogs befor or else they would know it take a while for animals to relax and form a bond if they want instant bonding then they need to go to a rescue or a shelter and find a dog that will fit their personality and energy level

  • Sounds like you were lucky to get the dog back before they took him to the pound! Good luck finding him a good home!

  • At least you got him back. Some people don't realize that owning an animal is a lifelong commitment not to be taken lightly, and now you can place him with more appropriate folks.

  • Good think you got him back sooner then later. They sound like they would have mistreated him.

  • Wow. You can't even explain it to people who think that way. Best your dog goes to a different home where people have some patience.
