  • I don't believe magic is black or white. Like most of life it contains both the positive and the negative. It is in the intent of the user that it becomes good or evil.

Magic is a tool like any other. A knife, for example. It can be beneficial when it's used to prepare a meal, and harmful when it's used to injure someone. But the knife itself is neither good nor evil. It simply is.

  • gaminilove,

the reason they call it black & white magic is just to specify which side of the dual coin the "magic" is coming from. It just specifies the positive attributes vs the negative. It still "IS" regardless. If a knife is used for killing, it is now called a weapon. If it is used for cooking, it is just a kitchen utensil.

  • Hi SamuraiChica,

I know that, but many people don't. There's a lot of misconception out there that some actions are "black" or "white", without looking at the intentions behind them. That's all I meant.

And going back to the knife analogy. The way it was used didn't change the knife, just our perception and categorization of it. The knife itself is still the same object it was before.
