I have a question about neural tube defect

I heard they draw blood and do an ultrasound when u are being tested for Spina Bifida. Is it true?

  • yes/no- A neural tube defect can show with tests depending on where its at-for example if it was in the back-your test may come back showing a chance of spina bifida- however most Neural tube defects are seen through Ultrasound.
