when did I ovulate... I need some help reading my chart!

ok so this is my first time donig nfp as a form of birth control. I have the book taking charge of your fertility and I have a few questions because I'm trying to figure out when I ovulated this month. My cycle was 40 days, and it looked like my body was trying to ovulate several times but did not due to stress or sicknesses I was going through. On day 23 my temp seemed to start peaking but it wasnt from 97.4 to 97.8 and then jumped back to 97.4 again. It staryed low and then on day 26 I seemed to have a peak day and the next day my temp went really low... down to 96.9 and then the next two days (day 28 and 29) I was having eggwhite cm and so I marked that as my pk day and on day 31 my temp jumped up to 98 and stayed above that until todayit went back to 97.6 and I started my period.

So, I'm wondering when my peak day is because from the day I last marked my peak day it was day 29, and then my temp rose on day 31.... mean I only had 9 days of high temps. I'm so confused!

  • I never used the temp charting method mostly because I could never remember to take m y temp. I went online and found a ton of websites for ovluation calculators. Here are a few that are easy to use. I found that by using these sites I was able to better predict when I would ovulate. My husband and I tried for 2 years to get pregnant and then I found these websites and it only took me 1 month to get pregnant after using them. I fully believe these sites can really help take the confusion out of when you ovulate. Hope this helps...Good Luck!
