Anyone have A Good Shredded beef recipe for sandwiches?

I'm Thinking its just black pepper & Crushed Reds. It tastes like pickle juice is in it!? But I've been told No. Just want to perfect the taste. Want more of A Beefy flavor. Nothing over bearing! Thank you in advance for your Recipe if you care to Share!

  • I'm afraid I just throw a roast in the crockpot with sliced onions, crushed garlic and pepper. I add either beer, wine, or apple cider, and some beef broth (canned is fine) then I let it cook all day..... it's really yummy, makes a great broth for dipping.

  • TEXAS HASH
5 LB BONELESS CHUCK ROAST (THE CHEAPEST YOU CAN FIND)
    1 C. KETCHUP
    18 OZ BOTTLE BBQ SAUCE
12 OZ BOTTLE CHILI SAUCE (NEAR THE KETCHUP)
    3 1/2 TBS BROWN SUGAR
    2 1/2 TBS WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
    1 C. FINELY CHOPPED ONION
    1 TSP LIQUID SMOKE (OPTIONAL)
TABASCO TO TASTE (OPTIONAL-I USE ABOUT 1/4 TSP BUT WE LIKE IT SPICY)

Place meat in a large oval crockpot. Mix together rest of ingredients and pour over meat. Cook on low for 8-9 hours. Cool at room temp for 1 hour-skim fat. Remove meat from liquid-DO NOT DISCARD. Shred meat & mix together in a separate container with the sauce (you will use about 2/3 of the liquid).
