  • My friends DD had that and I believe it is a sign of an Iron deficiency. I say have her iron checked if you are concerned. Talk to her pedi, but there isnt much they can do about it.

  • *Not all cases* but many are from lack of attention in certain stages of development and children with mild forms of LDs and MR are often diagnosed with PICA. I just learned about it in Child Psychology but not everyones the same. Ask a pediatrician
