While others choose to not stand and pay close attention when these horrible things are actually going to happen if they do not~~~I just feel that this is something that really needs everyone's attention.
While in nursing I had witnessed many things being done behind closed doors and this will just make it more of a happening. Somehow not so bad because it is written and signed.
I stopped all care with one lady that the doctors had told her family that she had been so brain damaged that she would soon die after refusing her food and drink. That was not the case. It took her 28 days to pass away and by the 2nd day I could no longer continue to watch and refuse her.
If this passes ~~~ all stops will be pulled and we will begin seeing America kill its own and call it medical care. NECCESSITY.

yes, we allow those born at less than 22 weeks and with breathing difficulties pass in del rooms surrounded by family members. yes, we allow infants born with certain, "incompatiable with long term life" pass without intervention. We withdraw support from pts and let them pass in their parents' arms. hard as it may be to accept, sometimes living is not in the best interest of the pt.
