Insurance Companies?

I hear time and time again from our politicians and Obama, that the UHC will not affect the insurance companies. If that is true, then why would they be protesting, as the politicians claim? That makes absolutely no sense.

  • This feels like when kids fall and hurt themselves. They know they are hurt. You know they are hurt, so you go get the peroxide. You are pouring this stuff on and it hurts, but you keep telling the kid to look at you and focus on you so the kid will not focus on the pain of the peroxide. Well, we are the kid, BO is the one putting on the hurt and telling us to ignore everything else and focus on him. He knows that we know, but he is hoping to keep us distracted enough that we will not be able to tell we he runs us through!

  • From what I understand you will be able to stay with your CURRENT insurance. Once that ends you will be required to be on government healthcare. So eventually private insurance won't be around. We are on hubby's insurance right now and he is hoping to get a new job - that would be gov't insurance assuming this bill passes.

  • Yes, but they say you can choose from either gov't insurance or private insurance. So why would they protest? Plus, we usually all agree that politicians are usually not truthful, then why do so many believe the crap that comes out of their mouth?
