  • IDK, I got really bad ones all through my younger years and my 4 yr old hasn't had any. Well, one when she was 2yrs and had croup, but that's a lot less than I had!

  • Possible, I'd think (not in medical field), if some structure in or near the ear was off a bit. My son had a lot of ear infections that improved once he got his tonsils out. I do feel that children of parents with allergies are more prone to having allergies, and this could influence ear problems.
