Did we just have an earthquake? In Washington state?

  • The best way to tell would be to check the website for the USGS (US Geological Survey). They post information in real-time from seismographs world-wide. Here is the link to the current Washington map: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsus/Maps/US10/42.52.-125.-115.php.

    There have been some recent small quakes in the last day and week, but nothing really big enough to feel unless you are extremely sensitive. Considering WA's location along the Ring of Fire, what's showing on the map right now is not unusual.

  • Interesting, we did have a very very small one near where I live. I didn't think those could be felt. It felt to me like a wave, but very very quick and light.
