What are some quick things my child could eat for breakfast on the way to school?

I am a teacher and I have to be in my classroom by 7:20 everyday. My daughter doesn't like to eat as soon as she gets up. I am looking for some suggestions on different things she can eat in the car on the way to school??

  • I cook breakfasts for the entire week on the weekend. Then I freeze them in single servings so they are easy to pull out, heat and eat.
I make breakfast burritos, mini quiche, mini cornbreads with sausage, egg mcmuffins, biscuits and gravy.
If you would like any tips on how to do it, please pm me.

  • get some throw away spoons and bowls, make oatmeal 10 minutes before u leave. she can eat it on the DD is the exact same way. you can do a home made fruit salad with her favorite fruits. make some scrambeled eggs (use the throw away stuff.) microwave sausage (put it in a plastic container and put the lid on to keep it warm until she is ready to eat.) hope this helps. good luck!

  • My daughter had to be at the bus before six for the last two year. Here are some of her standard "to-go" breakfasts:
whole grain waffle or pancake sandwich with peanut butter and banana
whole grain toast with a veggie omlette and cheese
whole wheat tortillas with refried beans, scrambled egg, cheese
yogurt with frozen blueberries and granola
breakfast smoothie: frozen blueberries, frozen banana chunks, kale (iron and calcium), kiwi, yogurt, ground flax seed.
