What kind of things should me and my SO get his son for his 5th birthday.... we dont want to get him toys.... his mom goes over board and we dont want to add to him always expecting TOYS

  • board games, puzzles, books...things you can do together. fishing pole or supplies, tools, golf clubs, sports equipment (basketball goal, roller blades)

  • Maybe something like a yearly zoo pass or one to a local museum. A class he might like, maybe if he needs clothes that could be something to think about. :)

  • Books, a zoo trip, museum trip, amusement park trip. Clothes, a savings account. A day at a major league ball game with dad.

  • Maybe some neat school supplies...I had my kids at Walgreens yesterday and they have these awesome pencil cases made entirely of 1 zipper...my kids were fascinated by it!!! (BTW...my kids are 5 and 9)
